Steam-ing hot sales

Its on. Steam is having another weekend sale, similar to last holiday season. A few games go on sale each day, usually one or two are too good to pass up. New this year are deals on multi  packs. For example, 6 copies of borderlands for one low price, to gift to your clan.

Also, Steam now supports wish lists; during the weekend 30 users per day will win the top 5 games on their wish list. Do it… or don’t, just increases my chances.

See also gog.com and the newly redesgined GFWL client for similar deals. Happy gaming.

Romero’s Call of the Dead: A Nerdsplosion!

Before you get all excited about Sunnydale’s favorite slayer returning to television, I’ll fill you in on a little secret, it’s not really happening! On the other hand, we’re getting one of the most bizarre pop-culture mash-ups I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing. What happens when the father of all Zombie films, George Romero, sinks his teeth into a Call of Duty expansion pack? Call of the Dead happens! And why is this so damn cool? Call of the Dead allows you to play as Buffy, Machete, Freddy Kruger, and Michael Rooker!

    I haven’t gotten anything on STEAM in a while. Sadly, I haven’t really played anything on my PC in ages.

    Yes! Torchlight for Diablo fans. Trine for platforming. Indigo prohpecy for heavy rain fans. Deus ex for classic FPS RPG. Lucasarts classic star wars games too. Ill add a few more soon.

        Off the top of my head, I’d rate The Saboteur as one of the most under-appreciated games of the year. It’s like Red Faction: Guerrilla or Mercenaries with so much more fit and finish. Viva la Resistance! Alan Wake also is near the top of my sleeper list for this year.

    Ya’ know, its harder for me to finish open world games on occasion. Saboteur is one of those games I never got around to beating. It felt very dated by the time it actually came out. Great game though.

    For a while I was only playing games about 6mo to 1yr old because they were cheaper. I think I had recently finished mercenaries 2, so I was stoked on it… also got the nudie DLC, hehe.
