Wonder Woman: TV-Pilot is a go!
AICN reports that David E. Kelly’s wonder woman has been ordered to pilot by NBC. David E. Kelly is best known for legal dramas such as Alley McBeal and L.A. Law ( note: that means Los Angeles, not Spanish for “The”). Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the series is about crime fighting and not courtroom shenanigans. According to sources the rights to Wonder Woman were very expensive to acquire, so bringing the character back to series was a huge challenge.
The new series, which is set to start airing in September 2012 is quoted as being
“a reinvention of the iconic D.C. comic in which Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.”
For the life of me I can’t seem to find any sort of solid casting information, so that leads me to believe the role has yet to really be cast… my vote is for Julia Voth!

Without knowing a lot about Wonder Woman, I have to ask if this is going to work. I mean, she has a lasso and an invisible jet right? So what’s going to happen, plot-wise, after that? It’s very confusing.
The good news is that David E. Kelly’s shows are typically well made and well received. The bad news is, they’ve never been very action oriented. Unless of course you count people bickering as “action”.
Smells like Bionic Woman.
That show had some potential. The main actress was always a bit awkward though I’m afraid.
