Gears of War 3: Will You Venture Into RAAM’s Shadow?

While I’m a self proclaimed Gears of War fanboy, the other nerds of NerdAppropriate aren’t riding the “cole train”… so to speak. The upcoming Gears of War DLC is the second of four DLC packs included with the season pass, the first of which launches on November 1st.  Unlike the first horde-centric DLC, RAAM’s shadow will extend the story of Gears of War and give some deceased COG soldiers a chance to kick some locust carapace.  It should be also noted that actress, comedian, gamer, and podcaster Aisha Tyler will be voicing the new female lead Alicia Valera, pretty cool eh?

DETAILS:  From what we’ve been hearing RAAM’s shadow will take place before the events of the first game and will star Michael Barrick of the GOW comic book series.  Rounding out the four man Zeta squad will be the ill-fated Lt. Minh Young Kim and Tai Kaliso, fan favorites due to their early expiration date.  Other news has been circulating that everyone’s favorite Locust General RAAM will also be playable DURING the campaign leading us to assume that that Alicia will no doubt meet her demise at the hands of RAAM allowing the player to take control of the big bad.  Just a hunch… *wink*

PRESS RELEASE: The second piece of downloadable content for Gears of War 3 has been revealed.  The content is titled “RAAM’s Shadow” and promises “more than three hours” of gameplay, six new multiplayer characters, the Chocolate Weapon Set and an additional 250 achievement points.
