She’s All That?: Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook Star In Bioware’s Latest
Yesterday it was revealed that Freddie Prinze Jr. would be starring as Commander Shepard’s sidekick James Vega in Bioware’s upcoming Mass Effect 3. I’ve always felt that Mr. Prinze Jr. was given a bit of a hard time after the Wing Commander debacle and never really had an issue with the guy or his acting skills. The truth of the matter is that I’ve always admired him a bit. Why you ask? Not only did he marry Buffy, but he was proud to admit that he was a nerd back in the 1990s when it simply wasn’t cool. That’s right, Freddie frequently went on record professing his love of video games and comic books long before it was “hip.” When I got home from work this afternoon and read that Prinze would be playing James Vega, I wasn’t the least bit surprised. Somewhere deep within the pits of Bioware is an incredibly hardcore She’s All That fan as Rachael Leigh Cook recently voiced Jedi Padawan Jaessa Willsam in Bioware’s Star Wars: The Old Republic. Coincidence? I think not! Check out the video HERE.

He was great on Psych. But we all know he’s not the reason to watch Summer Catch.
Paul, I miss you and your love of Jessica Biel.
I don’t miss Jessica Biel’s ability to be in bad movies. Just saying. Totally forgot about Freddie Prinze Jr and Wing Commander. Now I can only hope that Rachel Leigh Cook does a voice in Mass Effect 3.
Used to not like Freddie Prinze Jr. just because of the mob mentality, but I warmed up to him on 24 Season 8, and now that I think about it, I actually feel sorry for the guy getting the rep he does. I mean, he’s also a fellow geek just from what we’ve seen on his Gametrailer’s interview, and I even remember hearing from a comic book fan podcast with Lexi Alexander (the director of Punisher: War Zone and Green Street Hooligans) stating that Freddie had the best Jigsaw audition.
The sad part is, Freddie was refused from accepting the role just because the suits in charge said so, and this is a guy who’s a hardcore fan of the Punisher franchise. Long story short, Vega is definitely going to have some field time, just because of 24.
Dibol – I never heard about his Jigsaw audition, interesting stuff. Season 8 of 24 is the only season I haven’t seen. I’m going to have to have a marathon session pretty soon.
