Alice: Madness Returns – A nostalgic review
Alice: Madness Returns is the much anticipated follow up (by me, anyway) to 2000’s PC/Mac game American McGee’s Alice – the dark and gritty telling of Alice’s post-Looking Glassadventures in what has now become a twisted version of Lewis Carroll’s Wonderland. The original game had Alice following an anorexic, pierced Cheshire Cat around a grotesque Wonderland, presumably due to Alice’s inclement insanity, slashing her way through the Red Queen’s guards amongst other familiar faces from Carroll’s universe with a bloody knife, and the sequel delivers more of the same.
He was great on Psych. But we all know he’s not the reason to watch Summer Catch.
Paul, I miss you and your love of Jessica Biel.
I don’t miss Jessica Biel’s ability to be in bad movies. Just saying. Totally forgot about Freddie Prinze Jr and Wing Commander. Now I can only hope that Rachel Leigh Cook does a voice in Mass Effect 3.
Used to not like Freddie Prinze Jr. just because of the mob mentality, but I warmed up to him on 24 Season 8, and now that I think about it, I actually feel sorry for the guy getting the rep he does. I mean, he’s also a fellow geek just from what we’ve seen on his Gametrailer’s interview, and I even remember hearing from a comic book fan podcast with Lexi Alexander (the director of Punisher: War Zone and Green Street Hooligans) stating that Freddie had the best Jigsaw audition.
The sad part is, Freddie was refused from accepting the role just because the suits in charge said so, and this is a guy who’s a hardcore fan of the Punisher franchise. Long story short, Vega is definitely going to have some field time, just because of 24.
Dibol – I never heard about his Jigsaw audition, interesting stuff. Season 8 of 24 is the only season I haven’t seen. I’m going to have to have a marathon session pretty soon.
