Bioware will have a large presence at this year’s San Diego Comic Con! On top of having their own setup right outside the convention center (in the gas-lamp), complete with demos of Mass Effect 3, SWTOR, and the new Dragon Age II DLC, Bioware will aslo be be participating in a handful of panels.
I took one for the team and sat through EA’s Summer Showcase to bring you this new DA information! Despite a poop-load of criticism, we loved DA2. While the limited environments were disappointing, the story, characters, and combat were otherwise excellent. Bioware listened to their critics and soon began working DA2: Legacy
Casey Hudson just let the cat out of the bag. The Mass Effect movie (which was in development limbo) will indeed be represented at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego. The problem, it appears as though the panel will more than likely take place in the dreaded Hall-H. In recent years Hall-H has become nearly impossible to step foot in due to die-hard fans (Twilight/etc) camping out overnight in order to see their favorite stars. Here is what we know so far.
Comic Con 2011 is right around the corner, and we can’t wait for the chaos. Zachary Levi, star of NBC’s Chuck, also happens to be the co-owner of Nerd Machine, a company that is hell bent on bringing nerd-culture to the masses. Levi apparently has friends in high places because he convinced everyone’s favorite captain to shoot a PSA on Swamp Ass
Like a festering rad-scorpion bite, Fallout is the gift that keeps on giving. If you’re a fan of post-apocalyptic exploration and blowing things up, than you’re probably addicted to the Fallout series. Obsidian and Bethesda just graced us with some new screens of their upcoming DLC: Old World Blues. We’re also are providing a clip from Quore that shows off what characters Veronica Belmont will be playing in the DLC (hint: one is a light switch).
I’m not huge on dropping statistical bombs on our readers, but we just received a message from The Entertainment Software Association that I really have to share with you all. What it boils down to is CHANGE. The whole “us Vs. them” attitude of the past is going away, because, well… almost everyone is now a gamer. Trust me, this is GOOD news.
By now you’ve heard, WOW is going free to play (at least the first twenty levels..). Love it or hate it, World of Warcraft was (and still is) undoubtedly the most popular MMO in history. World of Warcraft was so popular at one point that it boasted an insane 12 million subscribers. That’s 12 million people paying a MONTHLY fee of $15.00. Blizzard and Activison were making so much money that they could probably feed a hungry 3rd world nation sloppy joes on a regular basis (yum).
Finally, after years of putting it off I decided to give Torchlight a try. Six hours later I flopped off the couch in a glazed video-game induced stupor. Torchlight “got” me, I was addicted and I loved it. The good news is Torchlight 2 is on the way very soon and sports a handful of features that will make fans of the original go totally insane over. Here is what we know.

There is some good news for Voltron fans everywhere! Like a global pandemic, re-launch fever is sweeping the land and Voltron has not escaped its reach. Some remakes will be good, and others will take your childhood memories and poop all over them like a Vietnamese pungi-stick. We just learned that everyone’s favorite transforming-robot-lions will have their very own San Diego Comic Con panel hosted by none other than Carrie Keagan.

Reviewing Double Fine’s Trenched actually gave me trench foot! Okay, maybe I didn’t actually get trench-foot (which is nothing to joke about), but I did have such an amazing time playing Trenched that I didn’t move away from the television for a few days. If my feet had in fact been soaking in disease infested waters, I for sure WOULD have gotten trench foot, or as I affectionately call it “The Foot”.
