Sean Hackett is the director, writer, producer, and co-star of the independent feature Homecoming. Last year I had the pleasure of seeing Sean “in action“, and, my time on set was incredibly positive. Even late into the night, Sean kept morale high, got his shots done, and had time to laugh it up with the cast and crew. It was awesome to see such a competent young young director having a blast while doing his job. We asked Sean a series of probing questions shortly after his “Best U.S./International Film” win at the Kansas City Film Festival. Check it out!
I’m a huge fan of Mr. Whedon. However, when I found out he’d be directing The Avengers I was a bit scared for the man.
Good news for Gears fans! Today is Easter, and it appears the denizens of Sera also celebrate this very special holiday. For the rest of the day if you log into the Gears of War 3 Beta you'll see some…
A spoiler free review of Super – “While it’s far from a “perfect” film, it’s incredibly unique, and at some points moving. Isn’t that why we go to the movies in the first place? On the other hand, Super is an exhausting film that leaves you feeling a bit empty inside. The laughs and violence were spectacular, but they couldn’t really mask the overall somber tone of the movie. The film did a great job of showing us why the world does NOT have super heroes. If you try and fight a criminal with a gun……”
Last month Matt and I had the opportunity to get our hands on Splash Damage/Bethesda's new FPS, Brink, and I have to say, things are looking pretty damn good! Brink's "hook" has always been its addition of free-running, but I…
The past few days I’ve rushed home from work only to sit in front of the T.V. for hours on end playing the Gears of War 3: Multiplayer Beta. I wasn’t lucky(or popular) enough to get into the friends and family preview last week, but still I did manage to squeeze in a week early due to my purchase of the Bulletstorm “epic” edition. While I did get some hands on time at PAX: East, I didn’t really have a chance to soak up how amazing Gears 3 is really going to be.
G4 is one of the few reasons I’m hanging onto cable. Few channels offer up exactly the type of programming I feel like watching after a long day at work. Yeah, it can be silly, juvenile, and repulsive, but so can I! Today G4 offers up a wide variety of programming geared toward America’s new national holiday, “April the Twentieth”.
This was by far my favorite episode of the three we were given. Workaholics episode 3: Office Camp Out is a fun and crazy homage to Die Hard and Home Alone. It takes a lot to make me laugh out loud, and I can honestly say that I may have peed a little during this episode.
Without Scott’s character Jeff, Chuck would run the risk of becoming “just another spy show” Jeff Barnes is Chuck’s creepiest denizen, and brings the laughs in virtually every scene he’s in. Don’t even get us started on the musical sensation that is “Jeffster”…
We’ve been meaning to update the “About” section of our site since December, but real life has kept us very busy! The rest of NA’s profiles will be updated … well.. when they’re updated. Enjoy!
Battlefield 3 is coming this winter, and from the looks of things DICE has set the bar incredibly high. My simple brain is telling me that we’re looking at the next generation of FPS. While you may be sick and tired of FPS games I feel compelled to remind you that DICE and Infinity Ward essentially created the genre of realistic first person shooters.
