This Codemasters game came out during holiday 2009. Thanks to a sale on Steam this holiday season, I was able to pick up this game for less than five bucks, and it is worth every penny. So why are we talking about DiRT 2 now? Because it does a lot of things right – as an arcade racing game, an extreme sports game, and as a PC racing title. If you can get your hands on a copy, it’s definitely worth your time.
Orlando is known for many things: tourists, bad drivers, strip malls, theme parks, and conventions. Luckily for us, Orlando is a relatively convention heavy city. If you like science fiction, comic books, movies, and gaming, it’s actually not a bad place to hang your hat. Each year at the Orlando Science Center we’re lucky enough to have Otronicon, a convention that focuses on gaming and new technology. I’m happy to say that 2011’s Otronicon is the best yet.
Can’t get enough of being called “d*ck-t#ts”or “l@mp d!ck retard”? Well on January 25th you can download the demo for Epic’s latest bloodbath on X-Box Live and PSN.
Bioware has some great stuff in their store. This weekend using the super secret code you see below, you can get 20% off your entire purchase. It is my belief that Bioware is purging the old product in order to make room for the new.
There have always been two very distinct camps; those that love Halo, and those that love Gears of War. Just when you thought there may be peace, Epic goes and throws down the proverbial nerd gauntlet. This is pretty much the equivalent of a hip hop “diss”.
NBC has new heroes. No not those heroes, but some other ones on the new TV series, The Cape. The Cape stars David Lyons as the good-cop-turned-super-hero. The show treads a dangerous line of being comic-y to the point of seeming insincere, but if you can get into that head space, it is worth watching.
You have to stick with it til the end to hear about the wonderful online videos that display sword and sorcery (minus any sorcery). Today we talked about battling fans (of the ceiling variety), Patton Oswalt, Catch Up Time, Illusive…
I owe Attack of the Show a lot (No, G4 doesn’t pay my bills or anything like that). What AOTS does do, is keep me sane. The self proclaimed “…only source for all the stuff you care about” is about to undergo a massive relaunch, and we here at Nerd Appropriate could not be more excited.
Don’t have time to really go over this, as I’m walking out the door for work, but Amy Okuda tweeted this amazing video that I think should be shared. It’s only 3 minutes long.
Well it's not all silent or anything, but we are using the laptop mic again, so I apologize for the quality (it was a rough week). SO this is about a week or so late, but we are catching up…
Most of you by now have seen Judd Apatow’s masterpiece Freaks and Geeks. For those that haven’t, Freaks and Geeks was a shamefully short-lived comedy/drama that originally aired on NBC in 1999. Due to some poor ratings, only 18 episodes were ever produced. Freaks and Geeks was a show about “the other” people in high school.
