This year we threw another small get together to kick off the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle and were elated to see so many friends, past guests, and contributors all under one roof. The event was a ton of fun and we always end up feeling a bit deflated when everyone has to go home because we know it’ll be months (if not years) before we get to see everyone again. Gone Home is a powerful game with a truly unique narrative and innovative gameplay that manages to steer clear of shooting and combat of any sort. While there are no skill trees, no perks, and no unlockables, I truly felt as though I had leveled up after playing.
