Your Shepard will pick up right where he/she left off. According to this recent tweet by lead designer Preston Watamaniuk “The level cap for #ME3 is 60. If you import from #ME2 you retain all class powers and your xp level.

Yesterday it was revealed that Freddie Prinze Junior would be starring as Commander Shepard’s sidekick in Bioware’s upcoming Mass Effect 3. I’ve always felt that Mr. Prinze Jr. was given a bit of a hard time after the Wing Commander debacle and never had an issue with the guy.
