PAX Prime 2012: Minion Master summons an impressive digital tabletop experience
A mashup of deck-building, RTS, tabletop, and strategy good-ness. Minion Master is the beginning of something entirely awesome in the digital tabletop gaming arena.

Featuring most excellent bleeps and beats from our bud, Big Giant Circles!
Hands on Bethesda’s Dishonored – Only through careful observation and patience was I able to stab the next room to death without detection.
We hit the PAX Expo floor and get some hands-on experience with the Wii U hardware, including New Super Mario Bros U and ZombiU. And the verdict…. ?
The Cave is an upcoming Double Fine, 2D adventure game from Maniac Mansion mastermind Ron Gilbert. We get our hands dirty as we explore the first 20 minutes of the Cave at PAX Prime 2012. Total awesome-sauce.
Back with a Revengeance: Yes, “revengeance” is a made up word that spell check really hates. No, “revengeance” doesn’t roll off the tongue no matter how many times you say it. Yes, “Revengeance” is fun as hell to play.
Unlike PAX: East where only Maya and Salvador were playable, all four character classes were available to choose from at Prime, and I’ve been dying to get my hands on Zero the ninja. Given about 30 skill points to allocate, I ended up dumping almost all of my points into close combat as I was eager to see how this ninja thing really worked.
Thursday night we had the pleasure of helping put together a small gathering of community friends in celebration of PAX: Prime, and we couldn’t have asked for a more memorable experience. What started out as a casual cup of coffee with friends turned into one of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had at a convention.
Here we go again. PAX: Prime is here and this we brought backup! Scott, Hilary and myself will all be attending this year’s PAX: Prime, also known as the most gamer-friendly convention in all the land. While we’ve covered a ton of conventions this year (including SDCC, PAX: East, and SWCVI) there is something extra special about PAX: Prime in Seattle. As I stated last year, PAX is a magical place sprinkled with innovation, loud music, and rabid gamers. Barring a severe case of PAX-POX, it’s close to impossible to not have a great time.
Alternate working title, “Inside the Ackbar Studio,” Tim Rose and Mike Quinn talk about their experiences as puppet masters, working with Jim Henson and The Muppets, Star Wars, and how Rose was fired off ROTJ by Harrison Ford… sort of.
An audio adventure including the talent of James Arnold Taylor, Dee Bradley Baker , Ashley Eckstein , Tom Kane (Yoda), and Matt Lanter .
My love of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is not a well guarded secret. As a series, the Clone Wars continues to get better and better with each passing season and magically manages to deliver the same action and storytelling nuance that made the Star Wars of old the legend that it is today. I was lucky enough to attend the Clone Wars season five premiere and subsequent press conference at Star Wars Celebration VI, and even got a few bags of force infused popcorn to munch on while we watched! It really did taste better than regular popcorn.
