When 343 took over for Bungie on Halo 4, the skeptic in me instantly thought the franchise was doomed to fail. Halo fans are rabid and devoted, would they even accept a new studio at the helm of their beloved Halo? Well they should.
Quite possibly the biggest triumph of AC3’s ship combat is how surprisingly well it all fits into the story. You would think that a half Native American assassin would have no place on the deck of a pirate ship, but it all makes sense and feels incredibly organic.
Omega is definitely a fun addition which I would recommend for anyone looking to spend a couple more hours in the Mass Effect universe. Also, if you’d like to check out NA’s chat with Mass Effect producer Mike Gamble about the making of Omega, and Mass Effect in general, check out Rated NA 32: Omega Explosion.
Games rarely surprise me these days. It’s not that I’ve become bitter and jaded, quite the opposite really, I still love games, but I’ve been playing a lot of the SAME games of late. Telltale’s The Walking Dead did what no other title could accomplish this year , it genuienly surprised me in the best way possible.
Tomorrow, Telltale unleashes the season finale of The Walking Dead, and things are looking grim. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out The Walking Dead, you’re missing one of the most innovative and terrifying games in recent years. Never go on a date on another planet, You might get stuck there for all eternity.
Hmmmm…. “We’re in early stages of designing a completely new Mass Effect game. What would you want to see in it?” This afternoon Mass Effect Executive producer Casey Hudson sent out a tweet that got the imaginations of Mass Effect fans working overtime. While this is something we’ve discussed at length on our podcast Rated NA, we’re elated to hear that Bioware is hard at work on a next-gen Mass Effect title. After a bit of stewing here is what we’d love to see.
Today marks a pretty special day for Mass Effect Fans everywhere, N7 Day! November 7th will (hopefully) forever be associated with one of the great space operas of our generation, Mass Effect. (Details)
