If you’ve ever listend to one of our podcasts or dropped by our site, you’re probably aware that we’re huge fans of Bioware and their games. I was surprised to see that Bioware’s Dragon Age Panel was so late on Saturday night (9:30) and didn’t expect much of a crowd… I was incredibly wrong. The Dragon Age panel was a very honest, and revealing, look at the future of the franchise… Oh yeah, the future looks bright.

Last evening I made my way into the Unicorn theatre here at PAX (complete with Robot Unicorn attack music on.. loop) to relax a bit and check out Crabcat Industries costume non-contest.

onlive has a huge presence here at PAX. Most people have little to no clue what onlive is or what magic it brings to the table. The idea behind onlive is a bold one, cloud gaming. This means that your “virtual console” gives you the ability to play games without the use of a proper console. Wizardy you say!!

Alice: Madness Returns is the much anticipated follow up (by me, anyway) to 2000’s PC/Mac game American McGee’s Alice – the dark and gritty telling of Alice’s post-Looking Glassadventures in what has now become a twisted version of Lewis Carroll’s Wonderland. The original game had Alice following an anorexic, pierced Cheshire Cat around a grotesque Wonderland, presumably due to Alice’s inclement insanity, slashing her way through the Red Queen’s guards amongst other familiar faces from Carroll’s universe with a bloody knife, and the sequel delivers more of the same.
Our fellow podcaster (Ash would call him our friend) on the Totally Rad Show, Dan Trachtenberg, just unleashed this short film done for Portal. Called Portal: No Escape. It is crazy high quality and I definitely recommend cranking this…
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, we here at NA love conventions. Sadly, some conventions like Gamescom are a bit out of our reach… and our price range. Even if you couldn’t attend yesterday’s Dragon Age and Mass Effect 3 Q+A session, the nice folks at Bioware were cool enough to record everything for us
The Nintendo 3DS may not be selling all that well… yet. These new Resident Evil: Revelation screens and trailer prove that there is a whole lot of horsepower under the hood of that little dust collecting Nintendo machine. The Nintendo 3DS is sadly underrepresented in the “new” software department, sure you may love playing Pilot Wings for hours on end, but I for one am elated to see such an amazing looking title coming from Capcom on the 3DS.
