Say what you will about games like Farmville, Cityville and Heroinville, but they’ve become increasingly popular in recent years, and have even eclipsed massive AAA titles in terms of raw number of active players.

The game is great. I have very few complaints and the ones I do have are rather petty, so rather than just talk about how good this game is let’s take a look at how it differs from (and improves upon) the first.
Eleven Years. Eleven Years ago I was playing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on arcade cabinet deep within the recesses of the USF student union. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 was largely to blame for me failing out of college that semester (that extreme laziness). Why on earth did they have to put that game so damn close to my stupid Urban Geography class?
There has been a disturbance in The Force. I am unsure whether the “mainstreaming” of gaming is simply people becoming accepting or a fault line opening up within the industry. Is gaming culture becoming accepted, or have game developers learned how to craft their games and market them in a way so they aren’t perceived is such a negative light?

Much to the dismay of rhythm game fans everywhere, Activision has gone and cancelled Guitar Hero. We’re not talking a single game, we’re talking the entire damn franchise. Guitar hero, is walking up that long and lonely stairway to heaven… So where did Activision go wrong?

At PlayStation Meeting 2011, Sony made a number of announcements including a cross-platform initiative named PlayStation Suite, which will deliver the PlayStation Store and content to the Android platform. As many Android users are already woefully aware, not all Android hardware is created equal. To that end, Sony also announced the PlayStation Certified program, which will support development with the Android platform.
