The gang gets swept up in Halloween, let’s pile up the spoils and see what we’ve got! Scott gets new chatacters in the mobile favorite, Combo Crew, and plays the sugary-sweet FORCED, now available on Steam. Matt discovers a fun-sized bundle of HBO with comcast internet, then goes straight for Batman: Arkham Origins. Ash unrwaps Capcom’s 30th Anniversary Encyclopedia, and still has a sweet-tooth for GTA V. Hilary sinks her teeth into The White Queen miniseries and NBC’s Dracula. Finally, we haunt the NAFF and NAPL, before settling in to hear your favorite memories from Halloweens past in our NAQOTW.
The Game Bakers’ add new combatants to Combo Crew, as well as a slew of new improvements to make an already great game, even better!
The guys get together for a whole mess of gaming discussion: Borderlands 2, FUSE, D&D, Gears of War, Double Fine, KOTOR, The Starship Damrey, Combo Crew, and Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre. Seriously. Finally, we discuss the high standards we set for the NAQOTW and reach into the ol’ mail sack. Whew.
Combo Crew, the retro-themed beat em up from The Game Bakers, fights its way to mobile.
Combo Crew brings awesomely fun, arcade brawling action to your fingertips, literally.
Way back at Pax Prime 2011 we picked the original iOS darling, SQUIDS as our game of show. Now, SQUIDS is back in the new installment, SQUIDS Wild West, and it more than stands up to its predecessor.
SQUIDS gets a free update to the iOS app today, and a sequel kicking down the saloon doors this summer!
While there sure are a TON of terrible games for the Android and IOS, we’re just now getting some incredibly fun and unique software that fully utilizes touch screen technology. At this years’s PAX I made sure to check out as many mobile games as possible, and wound up incredibly impressed with a little game by the name of SQUIDS.
